AirBorne Sea Update 1.1

UI got an upgrade.
Explosions got quieter.
Planes stopped committing… uh, self-destruction.

A few bugs were fixed:

  • Reduced the number of drops on the screen.
  • Reduced rocket explosion sound volume (was not affected by the volume settings before).
  • Reduced screen shake.
  • Default sound setting was set to Low.
  • Increased the size of the medal in the main menu.
  • Target marker for rockets on airplanes was visible when the interface was hidden.
  • Fixed a bug where incorrect results were shown after completing a level.
  • Fixed a bug where the number of rockets was incorrectly carried over to the next level.
  • Fixed a bug where the ship’s health was displayed incorrectly.
  • Fixed a bug where the number of destroyed airplanes was displayed incorrectly.
  • Fixed a bug where the result screen showed the wrong number of bullets fired.
  • XP bar at level 50 (the final level) now displays as fully filled.
  • Fixed a bug where level bonuses were not granted in Hardcore mode.
  • Fixed a bug when hiding the interface while switching between 1st and 3rd person view.
  • Fixed a bug where airplanes could destroy themselves on levels 1 and 7.
  • Fixed a flickering thunder texture.
  • Fixed a bug where new airplanes started spawning during level transitions.

A few improvements were do:

  • Removed loading screens between levels.
  • Settings menu can now be closed with Esc.
  • Improved interface toggle (show/hide).
  • Added 3 interface modes: Full, Minimal, and None.
  • Added crosshair customization to the settings.
  • Added tooltips when hovering over skills.
  • Removed explosion shockwave effect to reduce screen clutter and make the game cleaner.
  • Added credits for completing the game in different modes.
  • Replaced the useless radar with a new skill: Airplane Defender – grants immunity to damage from destroyed airplanes.
  • Increased gun elevation angle from 70° to 80°.
  • Improved spawn order of game entities.
  • Improved interaction between game entities.
  • Improved interaction between the interface and the player (now triggered on demand instead of by time).
  • Improved texture and material loading performance.
  • Updated Unreal Engine version from 5.4 to 5.5.

Also:

  • Demo version updated to the current build.
